3I stand with Israel. I’m proud to again express my support for America’s greatest ally. These bills will help solidify the critical relationship between our two countries. In dangerous times, it is crucial we strengthen ties with a friend and ally like Israel, not walk away from them.
I am pleased that the Senate has come together in a strong, bipartisan fashion to pass the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. I would especially like to thank President Trump and my colleagues, Senators Blumenthal, Britt, Shaheen and Wicker for helping make this a reality.
This legislation was deeply important to my brother, Lindsey, and I’m grateful that this bill has achieved such a wide coalition of support. He believed this was the most consequential piece of legislation that he had ever led, and I am proud to have carried the torch to the finish line. Lindsey was committed to achieving a peaceful resolution to this war, and I’m confident that these sanctions will pave the way.
